About Us
Mike, a Florida native, and Allie, who relocated to Fort Lauderdale to pursue her master's degree, found love in an unexpected place: Fort Lauderdale's dog beach. Their first date, a paddleboarding adventure, turned into an unforgettable experience as they talked for hours as the sun set, completely oblivious to the encroaching mosquitoes. Their shared passion for the outdoors and their undeniable connection sparked a love that has blossomed into a beautiful relationship.
Now, they're a family, with their beloved dog Nala and cat Emmy by their side. Together, they love exploring the great outdoors, whether it's kayaking through the tranquil waters of the Everglades, lounging on the sandy shores of the beach, or going for a leisurely bike ride through the vibrant streets of Fort Lauderdale.

Hello! I’m (the other) Allie from Victoria. Whether it was fate or UVic residence services thinking they’re funny, I got the pleasure of having another Allie, with the same spelling, with an interest in marine biology rooming together for university. What are the odds? And yet, it was a match made in heaven! The Allies became fast friends and family in this new environment! We’ve made memories like sledding on cafeteria trays in my first snow. Also when we took a road trip from basically Mexico to Canada; we saw wild zebras, fed emus and ostriches, and drove through a tree on that trip! Really excited to celebrate your love and happiness with everyone!!

Allie and I met in grade 2, and were inseparable ever since. We strategically made our parents best friends so we could hangout and have more sleepovers, which totally worked. Our childhood couldn’t have been cooler, not many people get to go on trips to Mexico, and the Caribbean with their best friend! Even though we don’t talk every day or live in the same country, that has never changed our friendship, we always pick up where we left off. When I first heard about mike and his pit vipers (sunglasses), muscle shirts and single use plastics, but now there's only pit vipers and muscle shirts, lol! Jokes aside I couldn’t be happier for them, I’m so thankful to be apart of their special day.

Having a sister is like having a built-in best friend, and growing up with Allie made childhood truly unforgettable. Some of my favorite memories are our outdoor adventures, from playing at the beach to just running around in the backyard with the neighbors. Now, it fills my heart with so much joy to see the love that Allie and Mike share. Watching them together is a reminder of how lucky she is to have found someone as kind, thoughtful, and caring as Mike. It’s been such a pleasure continuing those outdoor adventures with our growing family and creating new memories together. Family gatherings are a blast and I look forward to all the laughter and love the future has in store.

I love the relationship I have with my uncle. We’re always play fighting and having so much fun together. Sometimes Allie gets a little nervous, but this is just how Mikey and I show we love each other. To me, he’ll always be like the Dirty Bubble from SpongeBob or smell like fish! Love you, Mikey!

Allie, I am beyond grateful that life brought us together in our Class Afloat adventures. Together we sailed on a tallship, explored the world, supported each other on the tough days, and enjoyed the amazing days. Now the next adventure has begun. It's been lovely visiting you both over the last few years and witnessing your relationship grow. Thank you for all the airport pickups/drop-offs, the sleepovers, the tasty home cooked meals, the fun activities, and going to our favorite ice cream place. I feel honored joining Sunday dinners with Mike's family and am grateful for their generosity and Mike's. I'm excited to see what life has in store for you two next! Lots of love to you both! Xo

Reflecting on my favorite memory with Allie and Mike is tough since we’ve had so many! I met Allie in grad school, and back then I only knew Mike as “Allie’s boyfriend.” Our friendship grew over our love for dogs. In 2023, we all became proud dog parents-Allie & Mike with Nala, & my pup, Sunny. Now our furry friends are always the center of our hangouts, from play dates, walks, or weekend adventures. We’ve gone on amazing trips-Everglades hiking, beach days, springs trips and some chilly but fun camping in Ocala. Through these trips, I’ve really connected with both & honestly enjoy being the “third wheel.” I’m excited to celebrate their wedding and excited for their future!

Growing up with Mikey was such a special time. We were always outside, playing some game, or cheering him on at his baseball games. I’ve always loved Mikey, though I secretly wished for a sister. When we were younger, I’d dress Mikey up in wigs and dresses—he’s lucky those photos never surfaced! Then, when we met Allie, it felt like everything fell into place. We all instantly loved her and could see their love growing stronger everyday. When Mikey told us he was planning to propose, I was beyond excited—mainly because I knew I was finally going to a sister. Allie has truly been the perfect addition to our family. It’s a joy to see them together, and I couldn’t be happier for both of them.

Please come dressed in nice beach wedding attire. A nice button-up shirt, shorts, and flip flops are acceptable, but make sure you look like a wedding guest, and not someone who stumbled off the beach. For the ladies, short, colourful dresses are fine, or a nice shirt and shorts, please no jean shorts. Please NO bathing suits or pool attire. Shoes are optional at the ceremony, but mandatory at the reception.
